Let us tell you a little bit about who we are here at Fretless Music, where we’ve been, and what we’re up to these days:
Stephanie Young
Stephanie Young holds a Bachelor of Music degree from UW-Milwaukee, and did post graduate work at Alverno College. She performs regularly with Fretless Strings, Bowtime, Nine Worlds Ensemble, Animal Farm, Electric 5, and occasionally with various orchestras. She has played with such notables as the rock band Kansas, Peter Cetera from the rock group Chicago, Rod Stewart, Final Fantasy "Distant Worlds: Milwaukee" show, Doc Severinsen, Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, at Riot Fest with That Dog., Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and most recently with Kygo at Lollapalooza. Stephanie has recorded music for Milwaukee Public Television and for composers such as Thor Bremer, Luke Wieting, and Tammy Ann Winn. Besides performing, Ms. Young has completed SAA teacher training in Suzuki Violin Books 1-4 and enjoys teaching violin, viola, and piano at her home studio and at The Science & Arts Academy in Des Plaines.
Thor Bremer
Thor Bremer received his B.A. in music from UW-Milwaukee, where he studied classical percussion, and an M.F.A. in Game Music and Audio from ThinkSpace Education. He currently works for Serial Lab Sound, Epix Productions, Outlier Studios, and various independent developers as a game music and sound designer and teaches sound design at Columbia College. Thor has written for a wide variety of ensembles and has four albums under his name with a fifth on the way. When not in the studio or classroom, he performs on marimba with Nine Worlds Ensemble and Bowtime, and can be found playing drums and percussion with the Steve Edwards Orchestra, 1976, Hey Jimmy, and Animal Farm, among others.
